Introducing Wyatt Young

We are extremely excited to announce that Wyatt Young has joined our incredible team of sponsored riders here at Wrangler & Twisted X. Wyatt is no stranger to the winner’s circle in the campdraft and challenge arenas. Residing in the Tamworth region of New South Wales, he comes from a family that has been involved in the horse industry for over fifty years. He has grown up in the horse industry campdrafting and showing Australian Stock Horses.

When asked about his biggest influence in his career so far, he mentioned that he has had several people who have influenced his horse riding and training over the years. Some of those being, Ross Green, Michael Wilson, and Al Dunning.

Wyatt gave a great response when asked to best describe himself in five words, simply put “Let the results speak for themselves.”

Wyatt has an impressive resume of success, including winning the Nutrien Classic three times, most years Wyatt competes at the Sydney Royal World Championship Campdraft. But it was winning the Nutrien Classic and Challenge in the same year that he has referenced as his most memorable moment in his competitive career so far.

Fun fact about Wyatt, which many wouldn’t know, he likes going to the beach away from the horses when he gets a chance.

This is the part of the interview when we ask our team here at Wrangler and Twisted X to show some support for the next generation in their chosen sport, in this case campdrafting. We like to give our professional riders the opportunity to offer some words of wisdom for their journey ahead. Wyatt’s advice would be “Find a role model both in and out of the arena. And spend a lot of time with them.”

We can’t help ourselves, when catching up with our professional riders we just must ask them what their best fashion tip? Wyatt’s response was “You should always have a good pair of Wrangler jeans.” With western fashion trends being of focus to our business, you can’t blame us for asking; it’s always interesting to hear their fashion ideas.

For the remainder of 2026, Wyatt plans to get to plenty more campdrafts and challenges and enjoying time with our horses, family, and clients.
