Brandee Ferguson Roping Her Way to Success!
Super exciting news for Team Wrangler | Twisted X, with Brandee Ferguson signing on with our incredible sponsored riders. Brandee is a fierce young competitor, born into a rodeo family. Her mum a Barrel Racer and Breakaway Roper—she was also Miss Rodeo Australia in 1992. Her dad nowadays competes in team roping; he was a bit of an all-round cowboy back in the day. Her two brothers also compete in most of the rodeo events, so it’s no surprise that Brandee was bound to be a part of it all—and she wouldn’t have it any other way!
We always love to sit down with our newly signed sponsored riders. It’s a great opportunity to chat about how it all began and what to expect for the remainder of 2025, as we’ve just heard Brandee’s love of rodeo began rodeoing with her family. We asked Brandee to best describe herself in five words. Her response: dedicated, independent, loyal, determined, and easy-going—all great attributes for chasing her goals in and out of the rodeo arena.
Brandee credits her mum and dad as her biggest influences; they have helped her so much over the years to achieve any goal she set her mind to. They encourage her to keep going whenever things aren’t going to plan and push her to be the best person and competitor she can be. Brandee said they would drop everything to help anyone who asked for it, and she admires them so much for that.
When we asked Brandee what her most memorable moments competing so far have been, she said winning the 2020 Pro Tour Junior Barrel Racing Title. This was her last year as a junior with the APRA, so it was a special win for Brandee.

Here’s a fun fact about Brandee that you may not have known: in 2019, she lived in Texas, rodeoing for twelve months.
Our team here at Wrangler and Twisted X is always keen to support the next generation at the beginning of their careers in any sport—but in Brandee’s case, Barrel Racing and Breakaway Roping. We like to give our professional riders the opportunity to offer some words of wisdom for their journey ahead. Brandee’s advice is:
“Take every opportunity that is presented to you! This is your time to learn new things and grow. Talk to people, ask questions, take it all in. Everyone is going to tell you something different about how to ride, what tack to use, what to do with your horse… take it all in and work out what works best for you and your horse.”
We can’t help ourselves—when catching up with our professional riders, we just have to ask what their best fashion tip is. Brandee’s response: “Turquoise and Navajo pearls! You can never go wrong!”
With western fashion trends being a main focus of our business, who could blame us for asking? It’s always interesting to hear people’s fashion ideas.
For the remainder of 2025, Brandee plans to continue competing on the pro rodeo circuit. Brandee has just bought a new barrel racing horse, so she plans to start running him—and hopefully, rodeo success is on the horizon. Over July and August, she’ll start heading north for the APRA Northern Run.
