It was great to catch up Team Wrangler/Twisted X’s Jace Land, we had a quick Q & A to find out the story behind the Charters Towers cowboy’s impressive rodeo career to date.

Wrangler (WR): How did it all begin for Jace, tell us the story of how you got into Steer Wrestling?

Jace Land (JL): I was lucky enough to grow up into the sport of rodeo, my mum and dad both competed in rodeos all their life, so I grew up doing it.

WR: How would you describe yourself in 5 words?

JL: Outgoing, Hard Working, Driven, Focused & Eager

WR: Who have been your biggest influences?

JL: Definitely my family, my uncle Mark Gibb, my cousin Ryley Gibb, and I idolise Tyler Waguespack.

WR: Most memorable moment in riding Saddle Bronc?

JL: That would be winning the APRA Pro Tour Steer Wrestling Title in 2022.

WR: Tell us a Fun Fact about you?

JL: I can’t wear unmatched socks when competing.

WR: What advice would you like to give the younger generations starting out in Steer Wrestling?

JL: Don’t give up and dream big.

WR: What is your best fashion tip?

JL: Denim on Denim!

WR: What’s coming up for the remainder of 2023?

JL: Hopefully, competing successfully at more rodeos, but I’d also like to compete in USA.
